About Me

About Me

sandra picture (2)  According to my mother I started reading at the age of four. My choice of material: the TV Guide. I suppose it’s appropriate that it is the love of a television show that has led me here.

I started reading and reviewing Vampire Diaries fan fiction about 2 years ago. Anyone who has ever read or reviewed fan fiction knows that not only are there fantastic authors writing fan fiction, but the reviewers pour their heart and soul into sharing what they loved and, sometimes didn’t love, about a particular story. After spending sometime just observing, I tried my hand at some in-depth reviews, and found that  I really had a knack for it.

When Amazon started the Kindle Worlds program, featuring The Vampire Diaries, it was natural for me to start reviewing there…which led to my first website: www.kindleworldsvampirediaries.com. While I love The Vampire Diaries, stories based on the show and books wasn’t the only thing I was reading and I found myself wanting to review everything I read, which led to this site.

In addition to being an avid reader (some might say rabid reader!), I’m a mom to two awesome adults: Ryan, who’s a 2LT in the Air Force and Maggie, who is a junior in college studying to be a teacher. In a previous life I was a career military wife to Lance who is now retired from the army. We have three dogs and a cat and have been happily married for 26 years!

  1. Wow, another rabid reader (thought I was alone)! In another life I was an Air Force Officer retired now (04) and a retired Psychologist from the Texas Prison System. My wife and I still have three Pomeranians (three passed away over the last 18 mo.) and unfortunately our cat died during that same trying time. Vampire Diaries was a favorite of mine along with much of the Twilight books and movies (I don’t like evil vampires like James)! Now, I write my Paranormal-Romance series “Immortal Relations” which started when I found a photograph that explained some things my late mother had said when I was too young to understand. My father had been posted to Czechoslovakia immediately after WW-II as an attempt to get them to form their new government more along democratic lines…a fool’s errand in my view since the Soviet Army was all over that and most of Eastern Europe at that time. He was there long enough to establish a “relationship” with a young interpreter and that is where the photograph (shown on page two of http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G my first in the series) comes in. I was cleaning out all of my late father’s old filling cabinets when I happened to find the photograph proving that he had had a tryst while in Prague. This brought back all those memories of what my mother had said. That night, unable to sleep, I felt compelled to go to my computer and that is when my first book was born. I would love to send you a Kindle or Print version of that book if you would review it and of course I’d love for you to review the second, “Immortal Relations, Love and War” and the third, “Immortal Relations Coming Out” as well. (-;

  2. I found this in my email after I answered your review request. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me! I am looking forward to reading your series, I pulled up the first few pages on Amazon and was pulled in immediately. I have many friends who love to read about vampires (I know, big surprise!) and I bet we can get the word out about your series. 🙂
